How do I invite candidates to Thomas Assess Accredited?

This guide will help you invite candidates and assign assessments.

  • Go to the 'People' tab in Thomas Assess Accredited to begin the process of adding a candidate. You have three options to add candidates:
    • 'Add candidate'

    • 'Add multiple candidates'

    • 'Upload candidates'

  • If you are adding just one or two individuals, select 'Add candidate'.

    • Enter the candidate's details in the required fields (marked with a red asterisk): 'First name', 'Surname', 'Gender', and 'Country or region'.

    • If you intend to send the assessment via email,  the email address is required.

    • Optional fields include:

      • 'Unique identifier' (helpful for distinguishing between individuals with the same name)

      • 'Company' or 'Cost centre' (useful for tracking assessment use by department or region)

    • Once all details are complete, click 'Continue'.

  • On the next page, choose which assessments you would like the candidate to complete.

    • Use the checkboxes on the left to make your selection.

    • Use the 'action' dropdown on the right to select one of the following:

      • 'Email' sends the assessment by email.

      • 'Input scores' allows manual input (only available for the PPA).

      • 'Complete now' opens the assessment immediately in a new window.

  • If you choose 'Complete now', the assessment will open in a pop-up window. Make sure pop-up blockers are enabled. 
  • If you choose to send the assessment via 'Email':
    • You will be taken to the page where you can edit emails before sending them.

    • You can customise the email content to include deadlines, role references, or any company-specific messaging.

    • You can add your own email address to keep a personal copy (Assess Accredited does not have a sent items folder).

    • Click 'Send emails' to send the assessment invitations.

  • If you are adding several candidates, choose 'Add multiple candidates'.

    • Enter each candidate's information in the required fields.

    • Select the relevant assessment(s).

    • Once all entries are complete, you can send the assessments to all listed candidates by means of email.

  • Use the 'Upload candidates' option for bulk uploads. This is ideal for sending large volumes of assessments quickly and efficiently.

    • Download the spreadsheet template provided.

    • Fill in candidate details as per the format and save it.

    • Click 'Browse' to locate and upload the completed file.

  • To track candidate progress:

    • Click 'Search candidates' from the menu on the left.

    • Use the search bar to find candidates by name, or click 'Show advanced filters' to filter by fields like date created, assigned assessments, or email address.

    • Once you have located a candidate, click their name to open their 'Candidate dashboard'. From here, you can:

      • update candidate details,

      • track assessment completion status,

      • generate reports, 
      • remind candidates about, or cancel assessment requests, and 

      • request additional assessments.
