The importance of connection
Connection Intelligence (CXI) addresses the root cause of disengagement and disconnection. With our platforms and solutions, CXI makes connection measurable, understandable, and actionable. This way, managers can see where energy is strong or at risk and act fast.
The Connect section of our platform, powered by Thom, our AI coach, is a new way to use scientific insights to create better connections between managers and teams.
What do studies reveal about connection?
According to the Gallup 2025 State of the workplace report:
- Globally, only 21% of employees feel engaged, dropping to 13% in the UK and wider Europe. Many workers do not feel connected to their colleagues, which affects trust, performance, and retention. Disconnection is also costly, and disengagement cost the global economy $438 billion in 2024. Interestingly, fully remote workers report the highest engagement, showing engagement is more complex than many assume. While some companies respond with return-to-office initiatives, connection and engagement involve more than face-to-face interaction.
- Manager engagement declined from 30% to 27% globally, with the largest declines among managers under 35 and female managers. Since engaged managers drive engaged teams, this trend affects overall employee engagement. Yet 44% of managers have never received formal management training. While not everyone naturally inspires others, effective coaching can be learned. Methods that reveal employees’ work and communication preferences, track feelings of connection, and provide team-level insights can greatly support managers.
Our platform focuses on enhancing team collaboration, engagement, and culture by providing tools that help employees understand each other's work styles and preferences.

Create teams
Within our platform, Teams provide insights that help identify behavioural strengths and gaps shared by team members, as well as how connected they feel to one another:
- Team Behaviour: Generate team profiles to identify behaviour strengths and areas for improvement. Running team sessions can help delve into the team’s behaviour preferences with easy-to-use guidance. Sharing preferred working styles can enhance collaboration and help resolve conflicts.
- Team Connection: Teams can complete the Connection measure to understand how connected they feel to their team. Team insights, focused on collective experiences, provides a view of the team’s overall sense of connection to each other and are shared with the requester only. This can be used for structured discussions to delve further into the insights and formulate action plans.

Compare your Behaviour insights with colleagues
Compares a colleague's work style with another's for smoother collaboration. To the sides, both aggregate communication styles are summarised. At the centre, under each factor, the platform provides actionable insights that may influence their collaboration. Users are encouraged to also share their personal preferences and interests, which are visible in the colleagues' profiles.
Colleague overview
Provides a profile summary of colleagues' work and communication styles to enhance workplace interactions. To gain deeper insights into colleagues, the Colleague AI Coach is available in an additional tab in a colleague's profile, allowing users to directly inquire about their colleagues' behaviours and work preferences. This feature aims to boost user engagement with Connect by delivering prompt, actionable insights and assistance.
Individual Connection insights

The Connection insights in a colleague’s profile highlight the impact of six key factors (Cohesion, Belonging, Appreciation, Contribution, Trust, and Well-being) on their sense of connection to specific groups at work. These evidence-based dimensions explain how people relate to their role, their team, and the organisation. These insights are visible to them only and those who they choose to share with.
