When you complete Thomas' Aptitude assessment, there are a few technical considerations you should be aware of to ensure you have the best experience. Ideally, you should:

  • Use a PC or Mac (desktop computer or laptop); the assessment cannot run on mobile devices such as tablets or mobile phones.

  • Make sure you have the latest version of the web browser you intend to use, such as Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer, Google Chrome or Safari.

  • Close any programs running in the background.

  • Enable pop-up windows.

  • Disable ad-block extensions (in case they block the assessment from opening).

  • Temporarily disable firewall or add an exception to the Thomas International website.

  • Avoid completing the assessment at work as the security-controlled environment may affect some parts of the assessment (or completely block it); it is advisable to use your personal computer instead.

If the assessment still does not work as expected, we suggest trying a different web browser first before trying another desktop computer or laptop.

The assessment is not affected by internet connectivity interruptions as each sub-task is loaded on the relevant device before it is started (no content is loaded during the assessment).
