Creating PPA Job Profile in Assess Accredited

Learn how to create a PPA Job Profile

The Job Profiling tool allows you to define the behavioural requirements for a role using the Personal Profile Analysis (PPA). You can then compare these profiles with individuals who have completed a PPA, helping you identify the best behavioural fit for the role.

This tool is for PPA assessments only, so make sure candidates have completed the PPA and their scores and graphs are generated.

Access the Job profiling tool:

  1. Log in to Assess Accredited.
  2. Select the 'Jobs' tab.
  3. Select 'Create a new job profile'.

Fill out the job details:

  1. Enter the job title and an optional description.
  2. You have the option to assign a job evaluator – someone else who will complete the profile. They must be set up as an evaluator in advance. To do this, navigate to 'Manage evaluators' on the left.

Choose a job profiling method:

  • Job create: Is ideal for PPA-trained practitioners.
  • Job templates: Pre-set profiles provided by Thomas.
  • Job questionnaire: Useful for those who have not been trained in the PPA.
  • Input scores: Create a job profile by entering an existing employee's PPA scores. This is helpful if you are trying to fill someone's role who was a good fit for the position.

Create the job profile:

Option 1 - Job create:

  1. Fill out the job details and select 'Go' next to the 'Job create' description.
  2. Complete a hypothetical PPA by selecting the words most and least associated with this job role.
  3. A PPA graph will be generated.
  4. Review the graph and fine-tune it using the red box arrows.
  5. As you adjust the graph, the summary text will update automatically.
  6. Select 'Finish' to view the star ratings of all candidates who have completed PPA reports in your Assess Accredited.
  7. You can create either a job profile report or a job comparison report from this page.

Option 2 - Job templates:

  1. Fill out the job details and click 'Go' next to the 'Use job template' description.
  2. Filter by job category to view available templates.
  3. Select one of the templates to view the profile summary and description.
  4. Select 'Finish' to view the star ratings of all candidates who have completed PPA reports in your Assess Accredited.
  5. You can create either a job profile report or a job comparison report from this page.

Option 3 - Job questionnaire:

  1. Fill out the job details and click 'Go' next to the 'Job questionnaire' description.
  2. Rank tasks based on their importance to the job role, using a scale from very low to very high.
  3. A job summary and description will be generated.
  4. Select 'Finish' to view the star ratings of all candidates who have completed PPA reports in your Assess Accredited.
  5. You can create either a job profile report or a job comparison report from this page.

Option 4 - Input scores:

  1. Fill out the job details and select 'Go' next to the 'Input scores' description.
  2. Enter the corresponding DISC scores and select 'Submit'.
  3. A PPA graph will be generated.
  4. Review the graph and fine-tune it using the red box arrows.
  5. As you adjust the graph, the summary text will update automatically.
  6. Select 'Finish' to view the star ratings of all candidates who have completed PPA reports in your Assess Accredited.
  7. You can create either a job profile report or a job comparison report from this page.

Star-ratings:

After creating a job profile, a list of candidates who completed a PPA will be shown, along with their five-star ratings based on alignment with the job profile.

You have the option to:

  • Filters by star ratings.
  • Search for specific candidates using the top search bar.
  • Create either a job profile report or a job comparison report.

Generating reports:

There are two report options:

1. Job profile report:

  • Finalise your job profile and select 'Finish'.
  • Select 'Create job profile report'.
  • Select the PDF icon to generate a free sample report.
  • Select the pencil icon to generate the report.
  • Email the report by selecting the envelope icon.

2. Job comparison report:

Once you have created your job profile and selected 'Finish':

  • Find the desired candidate and select the pencil icon to generate the report.
  • Select the PDF icon to generate a free sample report.
  • Email the report by selecting the envelope icon.

Managing and assigning evaluators:

If someone else needs to complete the profile:

  1. Go to 'Manage evaluators' on the left.
  2. Select 'Add evaluator', fill out their details and select 'Add'.
  3. This person will now appear as an option when selecting an evaluator.
  4. Once added, go to 'Add job' on the left.
  5. Fill out the job details and select an evaluator.
  6. Select the profiling method. You can choose between: 'Email invitation - job create' or 'Email invitation - job questionnaire'.
  7. An email with a link to complete the profile will be generated.
  8. You can check whether the evaluator has completed the profile by navigating to the 'Search jobs' tab on the left.

Making a candidate an evaluator:

If one of your candidates needs to complete the profile:

  1. Go to 'Manage evaluators' on the left.
  2. Select 'Make evaluator'.
  3. A list of all candidates will appear.
  4. Select 'Make evaluator' next to the applicable candidate's name.
  5. This candidate will now appear as an option when selecting an evaluator.
